Column profile popup</span></strong></p><p><br></p><p>If you choose to create a new column profile, you will see the below options. Here you can set the name of the Column Profile, use and columns to display. The &quot;Use&quot; you set here refers to the area this column will show under. To add the columns to show in this profile, select the plus symbol next to &quot;Add&quot; and choose columns using the multiple selection drop down.</p><p><br></p><p>This screen can also be found in various areas of configuration, depending on the entity. Added columns</span></strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>If you integrate with another ticketing system, the columns &quot;Third Party ID&quot; and &quot;Third Party ID (String)&quot; can be added to quickly reference between both platforms.</li></ul><p>The default widths for columns can also be set when editing a column. This width is in pixels, and this is useful for areas where data within certain columns tends to be longer than the OOTB default.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Note: The width set will need to fall within a minimum/maximum range hard-set within the system, and this range differs per column. Any values that do not fall within this range will be overridden and no change will be made. Editing a column</span></strong></p><p><br></p><p>A default Column Profile can be set in various areas of the system, such as against a Ticket Area in Configuration &gt; Tickets &gt; Areas. This will force the use of a certain Column Profile for Agents. Agents will be able to switch from the default to another of their choice.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Save as New</span></strong></p><p>If you edit an existing Column Profile you will be able to edit the profile and &quot;Save as New&quot;. If the Agent has the permission &quot;Can Configure Column Profile Access Control&quot;, they will be able to specify whether to copy the Access Control when using this button. Prior to this version the Access Control will be copied automatically.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Sorting Tickets</span></strong></p><p>Select the pencil icon on the right side of the row to edit the column. From this screen, you can choose the sort for the columns. The primary sort will be the first way in which a column is sorted. Sorting a column</span></strong></p><p><br></p><p>When grouping by a column all tickets in the list will be grouped based on the value they have in this field. By default they will be grouped but expanded when this profile is used. An option will be available against the column profile to have the group collapsed by default, this is done using the setting &#39;Collapse groups by default&#39;.</p><p><br></p><p>Secondary Sort would come into play when values matched on the primary sort, so if you have 3 P1 ticket with a Priority then it would look at the Secondary Sort to order those 3 with the same matching value on the primary sort.</p><p><br></p><p>If you sorted by Date Created as the Primary Sort, and sorted in Descending order it would mean that it shows the most recent ticket first.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Note: From version 2.242+, if you are sorting by Ticket status, the sequence of the statuses will be used instead of the alphabetical order.</em></strong></p><p><br></p><p>You can colour code custom field values on your column profile. To do this head to the desired custom field (if you create a new one you will need to save this first), and edit each value. Rather than the standard table view, other display options are available.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Tile View</span></strong></p><p>Tile view is an alternative to the default table view, and displays a little more like Outlook. This reveals a HTML editing box for editing the tile view, and this box shows each change made.</p><p><br></p><p>Add in the dollar variables for the relevant fields, you can use tables and formatting to display the information.
