Project Completion on Gantt View For this example the "Calculate completion" was based on "the number of completed project tasks" i.e. 33.33% of the project tasks had been completed at that moment in time. How Project Completion is Calculated The Project Completion Status can be calculated in the following ways: <ul><li id="isPasted">Do not show.</li><li>Calculate completion based on the number of completed project tasks.</li><li>Calculate completion based on the total estimated time of completed project tasks. </li><li>Calculate completion based on the total budgeted time of completed project tasks.</li><li>Calculate completion based on the total hours against budgeted time of all project tasks.</li></ul> The estimated time calculation will look at the amount of time allocated across all tasks via the estimated time field (This field can be set on the field list of a ticket type, and then made as a mandatory field). <img src="https://halo.haloservicedesk.com/api/attachment/image?token=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiIsInR5cCI6IkpXVCJ9.eyJpZCI6IjcwZWRmMDk1LWRhYzYtNDYzYS1hODBmLWE2NWM3OGVmNWExOCJ9.9P3EkRTXfUrQvvQYMasdjtiJw_eTW_KUTqBfNFOQik4" class="fr-fic fr-fil fr-dib">Fig 5. Estimated Time field on a ticket type The budgets field can also be added/configured at ticket type level, this is how you can budget for time on projects and also set a specific hourly rate against budgets. Budget Types list When creating/ editing a project task, you will be able to select a Budget type for the task and additionally a Time Budget (The amount of time allocated from the Projects Budget). The calculate completion percentage based on the total budgeted time of completed project tasks will look at the amount of time against tasks in the time budget field and then get the time allocated to tasks via the "Time Budget" field that have been completed. For example if there was 2 tasks and task 1 had 4 hours against and was a completed task, of there was another task that had 6 hours on the time budget, the total time on budgets against tasks would be 10 hours, therefore 40% of the project would be completed. <img src="https://halo.haloservicedesk.com/api/attachment/image?token=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiIsInR5cCI6IkpXVCJ9.eyJpZCI6IjIwNDFlMmY5LTgxMzgtNDgzZi1hODMzLWE4NjQ3MDIwNzY0MyJ9.QAvYZNz03iT8uZWP8Dp8Gr5dlxaVfyNiV5u9jN0Mneo" class="fr-fic fr-fil fr-dib" style="width: 987px; height: 305.296px;" width="985" height="305">Fig 7. Project Completion based on budgeted time Finally the option for calculate completion percentage based on the total hours against budgeted time of all project tasks.
