This allows users who are not the end user of a ticket to get a quick update on the ticket without having to navigate to the self-service portal. This is particularly useful for account managers as it provides them with a quick and easy way to obtain an update on their customer's tickets. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">How to Provide Automatic Ticket Updates via Email</span></strong></p><p>First we will need to enable this functionality. You can customise the template to determine what information is sent out. </p><p><br></p><p>To create a new template head to Configuration > Email > Email Templates > Custom Templates > New. Name the template and complete the subject and body. </p><p><br></p><p>The subject and body can contain $-variables to pull through information on the ticket into the template.
