It manages all Departments, Teams, and Agents within it, and multiple Organisations can be created for sister or sub-companies.</p><p><br></p><p>This guide will break down the creation of an Organisation from start to finish in five key steps, followed by how multiple Organisations can be created used.</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Configuring Organisation Basics</li><li>Adding Departments to an Organisation</li><li>Adding Teams or Users to a Department</li><li>Adding Agents to a Team</li><li>Using Roles to assign Departments or Teams</li></ul><p><br></p><p data-pasted="true"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Configuring Organisation Basics</span></strong></p><p>The first step of creating the Organisation structure is to decide whether multiple Organisations are needed, or only one.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Should I use a single Organisation or multiple?</span></strong></p><p>A single Organisation is the base configuration and is always required. Using multiple is optional, providing the ability to split out your Agents if there is need to separate them.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Use only one Organisation if you need:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>You use Halo for one main company, and require none of the below mentioned features.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Consider using multiple Organisations if you need:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>You require different branding to be used based on the Organisation that is working on a Ticket.</li><li>You are using multiple Self-Service Portals.</li><li>You are an otherwise large company with many departments, and require a more structured way to organise your Agents.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Note: Your consultant will also be able to advise on the above depending on your unique setup.</em></strong></p><p><br></p><p>Navigate to Configuration > Organisation. Here you will see the option to "Enable Multi-Tenancy", which you will need to turn on if you require multiple Organisations. Enabling multi-tenancy</span></strong></p><p><br></p><p>Each Organisation is configured mostly the same after this, with a few additional options available if multi-tenancy is enabled.</p><p><br></p><p>Clicking into this button, you will either go straight to this screen to configure your Organisation, or see a list to select from if multi-tenancy is enabled. This is where you will store the key details about your company such as name and any contact details.</p><p><br></p><p>If you utilise invoicing within Halo, you will also be able to enter your bank details here. When enabled, they will be given their own physical queue under that team, leaving it unticked just gives them visibility of the team without having their own queue.</li><li><strong>Exclude from Team auto-assignment:</strong> Excludes the Agent from being automatically assigned Tickets via Load Balance or Round Robin.</li><li><strong>Is a Team Leader:</strong> Determines whether they are the Team Leader of the given Team. If they are a Team Leader they can access the Team Settings, which is a module where they can make minor changes to the Team Settings. You will likely want to create a Role for each Team, with another Role for the Manager(s) to have additional permissions.</p><p><br></p><p data-pasted="true"><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Assigning Roles to Agents</span></strong></p><p>In Configuration > Teams & Agents > Roles, you can create a Role. This is useful if you want your Agents to be able to see every Team, but do not want to manually set Department access for every Department.</p><p><br></p><p>If this is set, you will then have the additional option if all Teams in every Department will show in the Team tree (when viewing Tickets).
